As a dedicated physiotherapist with a BSc in Physiotherapy, I’m driven by a passion for movement, rehabilitation, and empowering individuals to surpass their perceived limitations.
My ultimate goal is to transform rehabilitation into an empowering journey that enriches both physical and mental well-being.

What does a Physiotherapist do?

Are physios doctors?
While physiotherapists are highly qualified healthcare professionals with specialised university degrees, they are not medical doctors (MDs). They are experts in the musculoskeletal system and movement, working to diagnose and treat physical impairments without the use of medication or surgery.
Can a physio help with arthritis, sciatica, neck, or back pain?
Absolutely. Physiotherapy is highly effective for managing chronic conditions and common pains. For arthritis, we focus on improving joint mobility and strength. For sciatica, neck, and back pain, we identify the root cause and use a combination of manual therapy, targeted exercises, and postural education to alleviate pain and prevent recurrence.
Should I see a private physiotherapist?
Choosing a private physiotherapist offers several benefits, including faster access to treatment, flexible appointment times, and highly personalised, one-on-one care. This ensures your treatment plan is entirely tailored to your specific goals and lifestyle for the best possible outcome.
What should I wear to a physio appointment?
It’s best to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows the physiotherapist to easily access and assess the area of your body that is causing issues. For example, wear shorts for a knee or hip problem, and a vest or tank top for a shoulder or neck issue.
How do I self-refer for physio?
For a private practice like EK Movement, you don’t need a referral from your GP. You can contact me directly to book an appointment at your convenience. This allows you to get expert help faster without waiting lists.
How much does a physio appointment cost?
The cost of physiotherapy can vary. For specific pricing on individual sessions for physiotherapy or sports massage, please get in touch via the contact section. For ongoing support and training, my Online Coaching Subscriptions offer a structured and cost-effective solution.
